Cody Carson

Miss NWMT Rodeo 2025

Cody Carson, from Kalispell, Montana, proudly serves as Miss Northwest Montana Rodeo 2024-25, representing her region and the Western way of life with authenticity, heart, and purpose. As a lifelong horsewoman and advocate for agriculture, Cody strives to bridge the gap between rural traditions and modern communities, helping others experience the values, stories, and beauty that make Montana’s Western heritage so special.

Currently a senior at Montana State University, Cody is pursuing a degree in Agricultural Communications, where she combines her love for storytelling, education, and advocacy. As an MSU Hilleman Scholar, she continues to demonstrate exceptional leadership and dedication to her community. A former President of the Rocky Mountain Blue Ribbon 4-H Club, Cody has long been passionate about mentoring youth and promoting agricultural involvement. She has also served as a judge for the Montana High School Rodeo Queening Pageant and plans to further her horsemanship and teamwork skills through the MSU Equestrian Team.

Cody’s rodeo journey began at an early age, holding titles such as Miss NWMT Pro Rodeo Teen 2018 and Miss Teen Rodeo Montana 2020–21. Each experience strengthened her belief in the power of rodeo queens as educators, ambassadors, and role models.

“When I look at a rodeo queen, I see and feel more than just a blur of rhinestones, leather, sequins, and hairspray. I see a strong and positive role model who wants to share her passion and knowledge for rodeo—someone that exudes the spirit and legacy of our beautiful state of Montana, Western heritage, and agriculture. I want to establish that friendly, sincere, direct line of communication and connection from the fans in the stands to the hardworking rodeo contestants and the well-bred livestock.”

Through every appearance and project, Cody aims to create meaningful connections between people and the world of rodeo and agriculture. Her goal is to help others not only watch the sport but truly experience it, understanding the care, tradition, and dedication that fuel the Western way of life. She hopes to inspire others to appreciate where their food, fiber, and traditions come from while fostering lifelong friendships and supporters of rodeo across Montana and beyond.

With her deep roots in agriculture, love for horses, and commitment to community, Cody Carson continues to embody the values of compassion, leadership, and authenticity, qualities that define both a true Montanan and a proud ambassador of the Western lifestyle.

I am a 19-year-old college student pursuing a degree in nursing, driven by a passion for helping others and making a positive impact in healthcare. Balancing a full course load with work has taught me dedication, time management, and perseverance. In addition to my academic and professional goals, I proudly serve as the 2024-25 Miss Teen NWMT rodeo, where I represent the sport of rodeo and my community with integrity, leadership, and pride. Through my experiences in both nursing and rodeo, I’ve learned the value of hard work, compassion, and commitment which I strive to carry into every aspect of my life and future career.

Vayda Kauffman

Jr. Miss NWMT Rodeo

Meet Vayda Kauffman, the enthusiastic and multi-talented young woman holding the title of Junior Teen Miss Northwest Montana Rodeo for 2025 and 2026. As a freshman at Flathead High School, Vayda's life is a whirlwind of dedication, balancing her commitment to the rodeo with her passion for the arts and academics.

In the arena, Vayda has a bond with her sweet Appaloosa partner, Bell. When they ride together, it's clear Vayda is right where she belongs—whether she's running a clean barrel racing pattern, gracefully carrying rodeo sponsor flags, or just having a blast riding in O-Mok-See events. Her deep-seated love for the western way of life is what drives her.

When she's not on horseback, Vayda is deeply involved in her school community. She plays the trumpet in the Flathead High School Marching Band and aspires to one day be the Drum Major, showcasing her leadership and musical talent. She also finds time for the piano, and in the winter, she embraces the Montana mountains by skiing and learning to snowboard.

Vayda's newest passion highlights her quick mind: she's a fierce competitor on the legislative debate team. She credits her skills as a talented speaker and ferocious debater to growing up with three older siblings—proving that a little sibling rivalry can be great training! Her witty, smart approach to life, along with her deep love for her friends and family, makes her a genuine and effective representative for the Montana rodeo world.
